Wedding Photography Services

About Wedding Photography:

My goal as your photographer is to be as unobtrusive as possible while still capturing every detail & moment. I work with (at least) two cameras, equipped with different style lenses at all times for variety in your images. I always hire an assistant to work with me for wedding coverage, this way I'm able to provide you with multiple angles of the best parts of your day. My style could be described as photojournalistic - but certainly there are opportunities for posed group photos.
While I may be familiar with you as the Bride & Groom, I may not know your family, friends, and the dynamics between you. It would be of great help to assign one or two people (usually the maid of honor & best man are great) to assist with group photos, by identifying those who need to be wrangled in to the picture. Please make sure your immediate family & wedding party are aware of when the photos will be taken, and where they need to be, so we don't disrupt the flow of the event.

While my intent is to not be in your way and to capture your day naturally, please feel free to pull my assistant or myself aside at any time, if you want any particular poses and shots! I also suggest setting aside some time, away from the wedding party and guests, to get some casual posed images of you two together—about 20 minutes is usually plenty of time.

I encourage you to let me know exactly which moments are must-have photos, but rest assured that I will be photographing nonstop and will almost always capture those moments unprompted. I will do my best to become familiar with your venue prior to the wedding date or some time before the ceremony. I work primarily with natural lighting, so outside venues are perfect, or buildings with large windows, but I can accommodate almost any desired location. If your wedding is inside of a dark church or hall, I do have an on-camera flash that can provide fill, but not every church will allow it. Informing me in advance will allow me to better plan for your day, or refer you to a larger studio with more appropriate equipment available. In case of inclement weather (including excessive heat/humidity, high winds, extreme overcast conditions, and rain), I will do my absolute best to continue shooting, but do consider that depending on the conditions it may impact my performance (ex. holding an umbrella in one hand cuts down maneuverability when shooting). Please know that if I suggest a change in plans due to unworkable weather conditions, I do so with your best interest in mind.

It is perfectly fine for your friends and family to take their own photos, but it's imperative keep other cameras away during posed, group shots to keep all eyes focused on mine, and the process running quickly and smoothly so everyone can get back to the party. Of course, the decision is yours, but I would highly recommend considering an "unplugged" ceremony. I have lost count of how many ceremony images have been spoiled by somebody standing in the aisle with their cell phone or camera, and not just enjoying the moment.  Please be sure to inform your guests to respect my space when taking these photos; you are paying me to photograph your wedding, and it would be tragic for me to miss a first kiss, cake cutting or first dance because I got pushed out of the way. If your guests decide to interfere to take their own pictures, it is your responsibility to correct this. (I am not, by nature, a loud or confrontational person and am not a bossy, barking-orders photographer.) If somebody else wants to volunteer their time, energy, and talents, I will find something else to photograph until you're finished. I do not provide sound or video, only photography, so friends and family are free to record speeches, vows, etc.
These photos should feel and look natural, but it certainly doesn’t hurt to practice specific poses you may have in mind. Make sure you are comfortable with being near each other, because candids offer a lot of potential. The best shots I've gotten are natural, un-posed images - you've just been married! Hold each other, love each other, relax and have fun!

Wedding Photography Pricing:

Wedding Photography (per hour) $100

If you simply want your wedding photographed, but you're unsure about what you want for final products (prints, canvas, books, etc), this option is for you. This guarantees that your wedding images are captured & saved, and ready to view in the online gallery. There's no pressure to choose your prints or products, and I don't delete your images after a few months- they will be available when you decide what to do.

Wedding Photography & All Digital Images with Print Release (per hour) $200

The most common, all-inclusive, straightforward option- This covers your wedding photography, and the processing of all your images to be released to you so you do as you wish with them.

If you choose the option of just the photography, and decide afterwards you'd like all the digital images with the print release, you will pay the remaining balance of $100 per hour to have the images released. (Example - if you paid for 5 hours of photography coverage, you will owe $500 towards your digital images.)

Wedding Photography services start at $100 per hour. A non-refundable deposit is required to cover the first hour of photography. This is due upon signing the wedding contract. The remaining payment will be due on the date of your wedding. Your wedding images will be available to view online within 4-6 weeks, in a password-protected online gallery. I will travel up to 15 miles outside of Dunkirk, NY without additional charges. Anything beyond 15 miles may incur a small fee for travel.
There is a three hour minimum when booking a wedding. If you need less than three hours of coverage, let's talk! My pricing is a basic guideline, but I'm open to negotiating if you need something outside of what's listed.

Your private online gallery contains digital proofs, sized for e-mail and web use. Galleries remain online for 60 days. 4x6 printed proofs are available for an additional fee, upon request. Please inform me upon booking your wedding if you need printed proofs in addition to your online gallery.

Please note that any photos from your event may be used for advertisement purposes, on the website, social media profiles, or print advertising. If you do not wish to have your photos used online, you must advise me of this before your wedding.

Clients who share photos from their wedding online are asked to provide credit to Amanda Bracy, by "tagging" or "checking in" to Bracy Photo & Design (Facebook) or @bracyphoto on Instagram, or to use an image that has the Bracy Photo & Design watermark. As a small business, word of mouth is my most valuable method of getting my name out, and getting more work!
